| This year the Rural Hall Historical Society did the float on Rural Hall Shell. Wes Hunsucker operated this store since the early seventies. I don't think that anyone in Rural Hall doesn't remember at some point going to the Rural Hall Shell. He also had an ice building that set directly beside the gas station. On Sundays, Wes would go and chop the block ice. Wes passed away in September of 2008 and we thought that as a tribute to him and all the people he had an impact on, we would recreate his building as it appeared when he purchased it. |
